An agent workspace is the file area available to an active agent runtime. Workspace support is feature-gated. When enabled, the dashboard shows a read-only file browser for each active agent.

Workspace Files

Workspace files can include:
  • uploaded context
  • generated reports
  • drafts
  • data exports
  • working notes
  • artifacts produced by tools or code
The dashboard can list folders lazily, show file metadata, and download files.

Browse Files

Open an active agent from the dashboard and choose Workspace. The browser is read-only from the dashboard. Agents and tools may create or modify files inside their runtime as part of assigned work.

Publish Artifacts

When a workspace file should become a deliverable, it can be promoted into an artifact. Artifacts can be:
  • Private: stored for authenticated access.
  • Public: assigned a public token for sharing.
Use public artifacts carefully. Do not publish sensitive customer data, credentials, private keys, tokens, or documents that should remain internal.

Good Practices

  • Ask agents to save important outputs with clear file names.
  • Treat workspace files as working material until promoted.
  • Promote final deliverables as artifacts only after review.
  • Use private visibility for client or customer materials unless public sharing is intentional.
