# Quickstart

> Get from a new workspace to your first useful and governed SuperEmber result.

This quickstart gets you to one useful result. The complete seven-outcome learning path is available in [Onboarding](/onboarding/overview).

## 1. Connect Slack

Open **Connect**, authorize the intended Slack workspace, and add SuperEmber to a channel with useful work context.

Mention the app with a narrow first request:

```text theme={null}
@SuperEmber summarize the decisions in this thread and list the open owners.
```

Confirm the response returns in the same thread.

## 2. Set up your Personal Agent

Open **My agent** and add one private preference or personal connection. Use this agent for your own working context, accounts, approvals, and Personal Emberbase.

Do not place team-wide knowledge in personal memory.

## 3. Understand the team boundary

Open a team and inspect:

* members and leads
* the Team Agent
* workforce agents beneath it
* channels and the Main channel
* team connectors
* the team's Emberbase section

## 4. Delegate one bounded task

Ask a Team Agent to hand work to a named specialist. Follow the target team's Main operation thread, then confirm the result returns to the original conversation.

```text theme={null}
@SuperEmber delegate this to the research specialist: compare the options in this thread and return a recommendation with risks. Do not make external changes.
```

If an exact action needs human review, inspect it before approving. Delegation is not blanket authorization.

## 5. Use the dashboard as control room

The dashboard shows workforce status, activity, usage, Personal Agent approvals, teams, Fleet, workflows, Emberbase, connectors, and run history.

Use chat for daily delegation and the dashboard for configuration, inspection, and governance.

## 6. Turn repeated work into a workflow

Create a workflow when the same process should repeat, pause, branch, retry, or preserve versioned run history. Test the draft before publishing and resolve human waits from **Workflows → Inbox**.

## 7. Save reusable knowledge

Put stable facts, decisions, and procedures in the correct Emberbase scope. Search before creating a page and never store credentials or tokens.
